The 2015 Baton Rouge Blues Festival to relocate to the Baton Rouge River Center

Due to inclement weather forecasted for Saturday, April 11, the 2015 Baton Rouge Blues Festival will relocate all festival programming to the Baton Rouge River Center Exhibition Hall, Galleria and Ballroom areas.

"It’s unfortunate we have to take the festival indoors," says festival chairman Chris Brooks, "but we’re ultimately under the control of the weather Gods. The Blues Festival’s number one priority is the safety of everyone involved. We’d especially like to thank Mayor “Kip” Holden for contributing additional resources to relocate the event on such short notice. We’re excited to be working with the River Center and assure that ALL of the festival programming scheduled will take place on Saturday! I hope everyone can make it out for this one-of-kind experience."

Michael Day, general manager of the Baton Rouge River Center, says of the relocation, “The blues is a great American tradition, and the on behalf of the River Center and our staff we are thrilled to host this great Baton Rouge tradition. The Baton Rouge Blues Festival will take over the River Center on Saturday, and we look forward to our guests having a memorable day of great food, great music, and great friends.”
