Fest is More than a Day of Blues

The Fest is more than just a single day of Blues — there are three days of great music going on that weekend. On Friday the 13th, you’ll
have the great GOOD LUCK to see and hear Lil’ Band O Gold at Live After Five. Lil’ Band O Gold is the premier Swamp Pop/Blues
Supergroup, featuring such notables as SW Louisiana legend, CC Adcock, Fest 2012 artist Lil’ Buck Senegal, Swamp Pop founders Tommy McLain &
Warren Storm, and Cajun superstar, Steve Riley. Dance the night away and get your moves ready for the Fest on Saturday. This opening Live
After Five show is sponsored by the Downtown Business Association, The East Baton Rouge Parish Library and the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation.

On Sunday the 15th, the fabulous blues pianist Eden Brent will be the featured artist for Sunday in the Park. Brent is the 2010 Pinetop
Perkins Award winner and is known for her boogie style and great singing. This show is sure to get you movin’ and groovin’ and is a
great finale to a weekend of fantastic music and fun. Sunday in the Park is sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge & 225
Magazine, in collaboration with the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation

New Venue for 2012

The Baton Rouge Blues Festival has moved to a new venue for 2012 — Baton Rouge’s recently completed North Boulevard Town Square. Just around the corner from last year’s venue, Repentance Park, this new downtown public space encompasses Galvez Plaza (behind the Old State Capital) and a section of North Blvd. It features 2 permanent stages, lots of seating spaces, and a video beacon which will feature Baton Rouge Blues-related information during the Festival. In fact, it’s Town Square’s L-shaped configuration that allows us to have two stages, more acts and food, and even art vendors.
